Prof. Dr. Britta Böckmann has been Professor of Medical Informatics at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences since March 1, 2006. Her research focuses on telemedicine and telematics, decision support and AI as well as e-health. Since 2017, she has been a member of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Duisburg-Essen as a professor. Prior to her appointment, she was a board member of TietoEnator until February 2006, responsible for sales and marketing of the hospital information system iMedOne in healthcare. Until 2001, Ms. Böckmann was a senior manager in consulting at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where she was responsible for organizational development and IT strategy in the healthcare sector.
