Research in a highly interdisciplinary field artificial intelligence, medical decision support, data science closely linked to tumor board and Point of Care-treatment of malignant melanoma. Be part of a highly dedicated and interdisciplinary team of computer scientists, psychologists and physicians in the Ruhr metropolitan area. Our DFG-funded research training group WisPerMed broadly combines projects from the access and improvement of multimodal health data, annotation and standardization (BPNM, FHIR, SNOMED CT) all the way to innovative analysis (Medical Informatics, Data Science, NLP, Radiomics, Genomics), human-computer interaction and explainability (XAI). We work collaboratively at three locations - the University Hospital Essen, the University of Applied Sciences Dortmund and the University Duisburg-Essen.

Your tasks

  • Execution of scientific work and its documentation
  • Publication of work results and presentation at conferences
  • Preparation of a doctoral thesis
  • Cooperative work in interdisciplinary working groups

Your profile

  • Very good university degree (master or diploma) in a relevant field of study ((medical, bio-) informatics, computer science, biotechnology, bioengineering or similar, medical technology, social sciences (psychology or similar)) or equivalent
  • Research-driven: high degree of motivation, initiative and team orientation
  • Very good knowledge of English and good knowledge of German (dependent on project), both written and spoken
